Connections • Women in Business • Entrepreneurship
Somewhere along the way, we accidentally turned entrepreneurship into a solo sport.
We started wearing “doing it all alone” like a badge of honor.
We’re the CEO.
The marketing department.
The accountant.
The customer service team.
The social media manager.
The website fixer.
The email writer.
The person Googling “why is my printer making that noise?” at 11:47 p.m.
Oh, and somehow we’re supposed to drink enough water, get 10,000 steps, answer every message, create content, have a personal life, and magically not look like we’re surviving on coffee and determination.
Girl… no wonder we’re tired.
Here’s the truth:
Building a business was never supposed to mean building it completely alone.
A lot of women start their businesses because they want freedom.
Freedom with their schedule.
Freedom financially.
Freedom to create something that matters.
But then something funny happens…
The business we created for freedom starts feeling like another job.
Except now we’re the boss AND the employee.
And if we’re being honest?
Sometimes we’re a really demanding boss.
We expect ourselves to know everything immediately.
Marketing? Figure it out.
Sales? Figure it out.
Social media? Figure it out.
Confidence? Hurry up and get some.
Visibility? Just start posting.
Networking? Go walk into a room of strangers and somehow don't make it weird.
(Seriously, who decided awkward elevator pitches while holding a tiny plate of appetizers was the dream?)
Behind almost every successful woman is not just a great idea.
It’s relationships.
It’s conversations.
It’s someone saying:
“You need to meet her.”
“I know someone who can help.”
“I have an idea.”
“Come be on my podcast.”
“Let me share your business.”
One conversation can change everything.
But that conversation can’t happen if nobody knows you exist.
So many women struggle with being seen.
We don’t want to be annoying.
We don’t want to talk about ourselves too much.
We don’t want people thinking, “There she goes posting again.”
But here’s the thing…
The business you’re praying grows is usually waiting on the version of you who finally lets people know it exists.
Your dream clients cannot hire the quietest version of you.
Your next opportunity cannot find you if you’re hiding.
And no — that does not mean dancing on social media pointing at words floating around your head.
Unless you love that.
Then girl, dance away.
It simply means showing up.
Sharing your story.
Sharing what you do.
Letting people know how you help.
There is something powerful about walking into a room — online or in person — where other women get it.
Women who understand celebrating a $100 sale because they remember when making $1 felt impossible.
Women who understand staring at a laptop wondering what the heck to post.
Women who understand dreaming bigger while still figuring things out.
Because sometimes you don't need another strategy.
Sometimes you need another woman saying:
“Keep going.”
“I’ve been there.”
“You can do this.”
This might be the biggest one.
So many women wait.
“I’ll network when my business is bigger.”
“I’ll show up after my website is finished.”
“I’ll introduce myself when I feel more successful.”
Nope.
Come now.
Come messy.
Come while figuring it out.
Because every woman you admire started somewhere.
Every confident business owner once had a first client.
A first post.
A first scary investment.
A first moment where she wondered:
“Can I really do this?”
Yes.
You can.
But you don't have to do it alone.
Honestly?
This is exactly why I created Phoenix Business Women.
Because I know what it feels like to have big ideas, big goals, and still have moments where you wonder…
“Am I the only one figuring this out as I go?”
Turns out — we all are.
We just needed a place where we could figure it out together.
Phoenix Business Women was created for the woman building something.
The woman with big ideas.
The woman tired of doing business alone.
The woman ready for real conversations, real connections, and real opportunities.
Not another room where everyone throws business cards around and hopes something happens.
A community.
A place to expand, elevate, and energize your business.
Because your next client, collaboration, friendship, or breakthrough might come from one simple thing…
Meeting the right woman at the right time.
And girl, she might already be waiting for you.
“Your business was never meant to be built alone. The right connections don’t just grow your network — they grow your confidence, opportunities, and vision.”

I recorded an episode of The Phoenix Business Women Podcast diving deeper into the truth behind being “The One Woman Show.”
The pressure we put on ourselves.
The feeling that we have to know everything.
The lonely moments nobody talks about when building something from scratch.
And why the right connections can completely change the way you grow your business.
Grab your coffee, go for a walk, or listen on your next drive.
Because sometimes the reminder we need most is this:
You’re not behind.
You’re building.
And you don’t have to build alone.
And if you’re a woman building something here in Phoenix…
Come sit with us.
Because the next conversation you have could lead to your next idea, collaboration, client, or opportunity.
Expand your circle.
Elevate your business.
Energize your life.
Welcome to Phoenix Business Women.
There’s a seat waiting for you.
See you inside,
